Hon Mirin

Mimi Ferments

Regular price

Hon Mirin is a sweet rice liqueur that is made from fermented rice, brown glutinous rice, and alcohol. After being fermented in rum oak barrels for two years, it is then matured for two months in whiskey barrels. This results in a naturally sweet, golden-colored ferment that is imbued with flavors of dried fruit, whiskey, caramel, roasted rice, and vanilla.

Spring Water (Brandenburg), Rice (Po Valley), Sticky Rice (Italy), 10-year-old Anejo Rum (Barbados)

How to enjoy daily

Use it as a marinade for meats, fish, and vegetables to add sweetness and depth of flavor, or add it to soups, stews, and stir-fries to sharpen and enhance the taste. It can also be drunk pure, over ice, or mixed in cocktails.

Good to know

Hon Mirin is naturally fermented, unfiltered, and vegan.
